Even though she was hungry and trying to relax, jayde still behaved like she should have if it were any other situation. SHe ate carefully, but cautiously looked around at her surroundings, checking the faces of the people around her.

edgar quickly finished his plate and started on another, nodding to her. "don't worry, nothing's going to happen on this ship. no one's gonna jeapordize its voyage, since they're all depending on it."

Jayde made a noncommittal noise and shrugged. Although she was much more at ease now, she still had some reservations about all this, and was fighting the urge to curl up into a ball.

edgar smiled at her lightly as he finished his meal, then looked to her, putting his hand on her shoulder. "if you're done, we can go to the room, or the deck. which would you prefer? it may not be much, but the view from this ship is still something to wonder at." his same smile and calming eyes.

"Yeah" She said, trying to keep from just falling into his eyes. "I've never been on a boat before" She confessed, shrugging.

She took his hand, smiling brightly and openly for the first time since she woke this morning and stood up. All the stiffness and formality had gone out of her by now and she was more happy than she had ever been before. To think that she was now free!

edgar took her hand and walked with her slowly, softly crossing the floor to the deck of the ship. the sun was rising slowly over the horizon, the smell of the ocean tickling their noses as the infinate blue overtook their eyes.

Jayde resisted the urge to grin like a fool as she walked accross the deck with him. The sunrise took her breath away. Nothing on land wa sthis beautiful. She thanked her lucky stars _once again_ that Edgar showed up when he did. She would rather be nowhere else in the whole world now. Not that she knew much _of_ the whole wide world, that is, but its the thought that counts. But what really puzzled her was why her father's guards wanted to get her back so bady. Was Edgar dangerous? But no, this was not the time to dwell on such things. Plus, a dangerous man would act different. No, she decided, Edgar was much too nice to be dangerous. And being the stubborn girl she was, nothing would change her mind once she had made it up.
