"Ohanzee." she replied softly as she carefully removed all the dirt from the carrots and gently scrubbed the tomatoes. "Yours?"

"Shendoah" she replied, stirring the stew. The stew smelt wonderful and the heat was warming up the entire kitchen.

"Ah." Ohanzee said, shaking off the excess water and neatly filching a piece of string, knotting and weaving it as she leaned against the counter.

Shendoah leaned over the stew and smelled it. "It's ready" she declared. She took a large ladel and spooned some of it into each bowl before retreving a loaf of bread from her bread box and cutting off a chunk for each of them. She placed the bowls on the table and produced a pair of spoons out of a drawer. "Go ahead. Ones for you" she said to Ohanzee.

Ohanzee cautiously approached the table, tucking the half-completed lyre-bird out of sight as she sat down "Are you sure?" she asked softly.

"Well I dont see anyone else around here thats going to eat a bowl of stew.... speaking of which...." she took out two smaller bowls and added some stew to them and put them down for the cat and the dog. She looked back up at Ohanzee, "Go ahead eat it" she said smiling and holding out a piece of bread to go with the stew.

Ohanzee hesitantly took the bread, glanced at it and the salt shaker. "You know, if you give me bread and then salt....you won't be able to get rid of me." she warned.

"Why do you say that?" Shendoah asked not even looking up from her stew.

"It's a little hard to explain." Ohanzee paused and carefully placed the bread on the table, toying with her string creature as she thinks. "It...mainly that you're completely welcoming me into your house and home, no strings attached."

Shendoah looked at her. "Well i am welcoming you into my house on the proviso that u dont nick anything from me again or anyone else"

Ohanzee laughed softly "You won't be able to control me if I break your bread and eat your salt." She glanced up, her midnight black eyes glittering in the light "But you'll have a Chaos-creatures powers to command as such."

"Can I point out that you just contradicted yourself. Besides what if you eat my bread and not my salt?" Shendoah said. She felt sorry for the girl. If the troopers came back she was thinking of paying them off to let her restart her life. Sure there would be conditions but nothing terrible.

Ohanzee grinned at her "Oh no, I haven't. I'm two people, as such. My Dark-Elf side you wouldn't control but my chaotic abilities would be more or less at your beck and call....sort of." She shrugged "If you know what I mean. and if I only ate the bread, I would have a place to call my own and you wouldn't be able to throw me out." She widened her grin "But neither would you be able to control me, at all."

Shendoah turned to her. "I am happy to let you live here. You would have to help me though. Kind of be my assistant. But you would have to stop stealing things from people. Thats even without u eating bread or salt."

Ohanzee grinned at her and put a small smattering of salt over the stew as she took a small bite of the bread. "Gladly." She said and took a small spoonful. when the food touched her lips a black shadow rippled over her body, pooling around her wrists to form faint shackles before fading out of sight.
