The town was small and on the edge of the great woodland. So small that it wasn't even on the map. The villagers hardley left the village and if they did they never went into the woods. They were self suffiecient and they liked it that way.
Nobody went into the woods because of the things that lived there. The witches scared them. The witches would come down into town and buy things. They never hurt anyone that stayed in town but nobody was went into their territory.
Deep in the woodlands there was a house. It was overgrown with Ivy and moss and there was a small chimney with smoke coming out of it. Inside lived two witches. A mother and her daughter. The daughter was sitting next to a bed with her mother lying on it. The young girl (if anyone had been looking in the window) could be seen feeding the old lady something from a mug that had a bright blue smoke coming out of it.
The girl was muttering something that sounded like "come on you can do it". Then she started crying.

a boy was wondering through the forest. it was obvious he was a wanderer because he had no knowledge of where the hell he was. he walked around, trying to find some sign of a town or something. he jumped up the branches of a tree and managed to get to the top. he looked over the horizon and his eyes turned yellow as he searched for anything he could. after a moment, he saw a small house. he smiled and his eyes turned back to normal. he jumped down from the tree and started running. after a few moments, he arrived at the small house and smiled. "finally" he thought. he knocked on the door and waited there. "sorry to bother you" he said aloud "i'm wandering around here"

Skye lived by the witches' house, seeking protection from the wide berth the townsfolk gave it. People thought her race had died, and she preferred to keep it that way. She had salvaged a knife from the body of someone the wolves had killed, feeling safe, for the animals did not harm her, for they recognised her as one of them and not to be feared. Inspecting the knife she had found, she found a piece of fallen wood and cast her eyes about to see if there was anything she could carve. She had walked towards the witches' house out of curiosity of what the more recent noise was and saw a boy standing at the door. she hid behind a tree, watching him, her bow next to her and started carving.

The occupant of the small house heard the knocking on the door and the voice. She slipped silently to the door and opened it just enough to see the eyes of the man staring in at her.
"Go away and leave this place" she whispered hoarsely. Her eyes still had tears falling down them and she was madly trying to not let it show.

the man saw her tears and looked to her. "what is so bad to make a young girl such as you cry?" his voice was filled with care as he looked into her eyes. he was a nice guy and hated to see women cry.

"It doesn't matter. You must go now" she whispered closing the door on him.

the man sighed and went to the window, watching the girl. "sorry to bug you in your sadness, but maybe i can be of service..."

She ran to the window trying to block the sight of the bed.
"Leave now while you still can" she said hoarsely to the stranger.

ryan looked to the girl. "she's real sick, huh? what's wrong with her?" his voice showed true care as he looked beyond the girl's shoulder to the bed.

Why can't he just leave me aloneshe thought to herself.
She walked back to the door. She opened it half way this time.
"Yes she's sick. In fact she's dying. Now what do you want and make it quick because I need to make something to help her." She said rather quickly and harshly.

"There's not much that can be done know. All I can do is try and make her as comfortable as possible. You can come in if I can trust you. But if you double cross me you WILL regret it for the rest of your life which will inevitably be cut extremely short" She said to the man who called himself Ryan.

Skylar nodded.
"For the record my name is Skylar" She said to Ryan.
She turned around into the kitchen area of the house. The house it self had a bedroom at the back, a bathroom next to it and at the front a kitchen/living room. She opened the cupboard under the sink and took out a pot and placed it over what looked like the burner of a fondu pot that was on the table. Then she opened the pantry and took out a number of jars and placed them on the table next to a thick old book, a chopping board and a silver jewel encrusted daggar.
