Aaliyah shrugged nonchalantly, snapping her fingers and slipping her 'alteration' back into the lamps she stole the fire from. "Doesn't excuse the fact that it was crudely drawn." she points out placidly. "But it did the job I guess." She yawned and caught up with him running a hand through her hair "Why did you go and do something as stupid as get caught?" she asked him after a few minutes of silence.

the figure remained silent for a moment, never looking to the girl beside him. "why should i tell you, someone i don't even know?" he looked over, his red eye seeming to gaze into her soul. "someone who wouldn't even give me a name."

Aaliyah smiled slightly and broke her gaze away from his as she murmured "Names are dangerous things." She glanced at him with a faint warning in her green eyes "If you give someone the name you call yourself, they could control you." She grinned back at the cart "Although I don't need a name."

the figure just shrugged. "ok then, demon girl, why'd you free me?" he walked still, his gaze moving back to the road as soon as he finished his sentence.

She just smiled and asked blandly "Why not?" A soft laugh preculded the rest of her answer "Mainly because I haven't met one with your....presence lets say, for quite a few years."
She pushed her hair back out of her face and glared down at her tattered clothes "As much as like the attention walking around like this brings me, I'd rather not have a hoard of men following me just yet."

the figure just continued to walk, the town limits being crossed. "then go change." he didn't seem to care that he was walking around in less than her, just walked straight into town without a care. when they entered, a few people looked at him with fear, mainly from the way he looked and not from his reputation.

Aaliyah sighed and kept following him, ignoring the interested stares from the various members of the male species, and quite a few jealous one from the ladies as well. "Hey! mind holding up for a bit?" she called with faint irritation "What's the rush?"

the figure looked back at her, then just stopped. "what, can't keep up? if we don't hurry, the guards will be freed and reinforcements will come after us. do you want that?" he gave a slight tilt to his head as he said this.

Aaliyah sighed and muttered something that sounded rather gutteral under her breath. "I -would- be able to keep up, and pass you even if we weren't in this blasted city." she told him snippily, casting a warning glare at a somewhat more adventurous man.

he just turned away and began to walk again, ignoring the gazes of the people, some obviously assuming a connection between the two, judging by the manner their clothes were in. he walked until he came to a run down shack, going in. inside, there were tables and chairs, a few people around, and a bar with a bartender behind it. "hey dante, escape the prison again?" "was freed before i could." he replied swiftly. the man behind the counter was rather large and emitted a rather dark aura. indeed, there were others in the room, and most all emitted different auras, few human if any. outside, it looked like a shack with no sign. but inside, it was a tavern for their kind.

Aaliyah whistled appreciatively "Wish I'd known about this earlier." she commented, gazing around with interest. Regestering the lack of humanity she smiled faintly, nodding politely to the bartender but sticking fairly close to the stranger she freed.
"Got anything decent for me to wear?" she asked the bartender politely "Something rather more...consealing." she added with a warning glance at his leer.

the bartender didn't seem to care much, seeming to find her the wrong species or something, since few in here were the same. he shrugged, nodding up a set of stairs. "check up there, might be something in the laundry." from outside, it looked like a one story building, but appearances can be deceiving. without a word, the figure known as dante walked past the bar. the bartender had already set out a glass, which held a dark liquid. dante took the glass and downed it before he reached the end of the bar, setting it down and walking up the stairs.

Aaliyah nodded a thankyou and started up the stairs. Finding the laundry, a basket of bedlinen in one corner, a line of sheets against the wall and a washbasin she put her hands on her hips and sighed. "This looks sooo promising." she muttered sarcastically, moving over to the press she found a delicate cotton dress. Holding it up for size she frowned, it would be a bit tight in the bust but would cover more than her current clothes did.

dante walked up, walking right past aaliyah and to a door. immediately, he went inside and shut the door, beginning to get changed. it seemed as though that was his room. with a sigh, he put on a ragged shirt and pants, sitting down and giving a groan.

Aaliyah heard Dante groan and shrugged, shutting the door to the laundry for a few seconds as she swiftly changed clothes. She carefully inhaled, pleased that the seams didn't complain and opened the door again. She paused on her way out, frowned and turned to the door that he went into, rapping a knuckle on the wood she waited for permission to enter.
